Connect Square
Agents read payments, orders, catalogue items and customers and prepare changes for approval; connects by signing in to Square after the operator has been allowlisted.
Once Square is connected, an agent can look up payments and orders, browse the item catalogue, find a customer and their history, and prepare a refund or price update for you to approve.
Before you start
- A Square account for the seller you want to connect. You sign in as the owner or a team member with permissions; the agent sees what that login can see.
- One-time setup by the woble operator. Square allowlists MCP clients. The operator posts an MCP Allowlist Request in the Square Developer Forums (MCP section) with woble's callback URL, waits for approval, then adds square to OAUTH_ALLOWLISTED. Until then sign-in fails with a client error.
- Live (production) data only; Square's sandbox is not available here. Square calls the MCP server beta.
- You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace. Only owners and admins can connect integrations.
Connect it
- In woble open Marketplace, go to the Integrations tab, find Square and press Connect.
- Press Continue with Square. A new tab opens at Square.
- Sign in if needed. If you manage several Square accounts, choose the one to connect.
- Square shows a permissions page listing what the client can access, such as payments, orders, items and customers. Press Allow.
- The tab closes. The card shows Connected and the agent panel lists the new Square tools.
Or ask an agent
Type @ruby connect Square in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation. Only owners and admins can complete it.
Try it
- "@atlas show me yesterday's Square orders over 100 USD and who placed them."
- "@atlas find the Square customer Jane Doe and list her last three payments."
Reading is fine on its own. Refunds, price changes and anything that moves money need your approval first.
If it does not connect
- Invalid client: woble's domain is not on Square's allowlist yet, or square is missing from OAUTH_ALLOWLISTED. Ask your woble operator.
- Wrong seller account: Remove, sign out of Square, and connect again with the right login.
- Permissions denied: your Square team role lacks the permissions asked for. Ask the account owner.
- Press Test connection in Marketplace, Connected tab, to check the connection. Remove and reconnect fixes most token problems.
Disconnect
Marketplace, Connected tab, Remove. The tokens are deleted and agents lose the Square tools immediately.
