Connect Perplexity

Agents get web-grounded answers, ranked search results and deep research reports with citations; you connect by signing in with Perplexity and choosing an API organization.

Once Perplexity is connected, an agent can search the web and return ranked results, answer a question with sources in one pass, reason through a harder problem with current information, or run a long research job that comes back as a cited report. Every call is billed to the Perplexity API organization you pick when you sign in.

Before you start

A Perplexity account with access to the API console at perplexity.ai. A Pro subscription is not what you need; API usage is billed separately.
You must be an admin of an API organization that has credits or a payment method. If you do not have one, the sign-in page links to the console where you can create it.
You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.

Connect it

Open Marketplace, choose the Integrations tab, find Perplexity and press Connect.
Press Continue with Perplexity. A new tab opens at perplexity.ai.
Sign in, then choose the API organization that should pay for usage. The request covers API access and keeping the connection alive without signing in again.
Press Allow.
The tab closes and the card says Connected. The agent panel lists the Perplexity tools: search, ask, reason and research.

Research calls are slow and cost the most, so agents use them only when you ask for a long report.

If it does not connect

No API organization or no credits: the sign-in stops or tools return a billing error. Open the API console, create an organization or add credits, then connect again.
Wrong organization chosen: usage lands on the wrong bill. Press Remove in Marketplace → Connected and connect again, picking the right organization.
Connection revoked or expired: press Test connection in Marketplace → Connected. If it fails, Remove and reconnect.

Disconnect

Marketplace → Connected → Perplexity → Remove. The stored tokens are deleted and agents lose the Perplexity tools immediately. Usage already made stays on the organization's bill.
