Connect Intercom

Agents search conversations and contacts, add internal notes and work on Help Center articles; connects with an Intercom access token.

IntercomAPI keySupport

Conversations, contacts, companies and Help Center articles.

Once Intercom is connected, an agent can search conversations and contacts, read a full thread, add an internal note for your team, and search or draft Help Center articles.

Before you start

  • An Intercom workspace and access to its Developer Hub, so you can create an app there (usually an admin seat).
  • A US-hosted workspace. woble talks to mcp.intercom.com; EU workspaces live on mcp.eu.intercom.com, which this integration does not point at yet. Ask your woble operator first.
  • You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace. Only owners and admins can connect integrations.

Connect it

  1. In woble open Marketplace, go to the Integrations tab, find Intercom and press Add.
  2. In a new tab open the Intercom Developer Hub, Your apps. Create a new app or open an existing one, and check it belongs to the workspace you want to connect.
  3. In the app open Configure, then Authentication. Press Edit and tick these permissions: Read and list users and companies, Read conversations, Write conversations (needed for internal notes) and Read and write articles. Save.
  4. On the same page, copy the Access Token. If you just changed permissions on an existing app, regenerate the token first.
  5. Back in woble, paste the token into Intercom access token and press Connect.
  6. The card shows Connected and the agent panel lists the new Intercom tools.

Or ask an agent

Type @ruby connect Intercom in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation. Only owners and admins can complete it.

Try it

  • "@atlas find open Intercom conversations from acme.com this week and summarise what they are about."
  • "@atlas read the Intercom conversation with Jane Doe and add an internal note with the next step."

If it does not connect

  • 401 or Unauthorized: the token is missing a permission or predates a permission change. Regenerate it in the Developer Hub, then Remove and reconnect.
  • Wrong workspace: each Intercom app belongs to one workspace. Check it in the Developer Hub.
  • EU workspace: the test fails because your data lives on the EU server. Ask your woble operator.
  • Press Test connection in Marketplace, Connected tab. Remove and reconnect fixes most token problems.

Disconnect

Marketplace, Connected tab, Remove. The token is deleted from woble and agents lose the Intercom tools immediately.
