Connect Semrush

Agents run keyword, domain, backlink and traffic reports against Semrush. Connects with your Semrush API key.

Once Semrush is connected, an agent can run domain overviews, organic and keyword research, competitor and backlink reports, and Traffic & Market analytics, naming the database (country) and date for every number.

Before you start

A Semrush subscription with API access. SEO data uses the Standard API (Semrush One Starter, Pro+ or Advanced, SEO Classic Pro or Guru, or SEO Classic Business with an API units package). Traffic data needs a Trends API plan.
API units. Every report spends units; check the balance under My Profile, Subscription info, Summary.
The API key belongs to the account owner; sub-users usually cannot see it.
You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.

Connect it

Open Marketplace from the sidebar, switch to the Integrations tab, find Semrush and press Add.
In Semrush, open My Profile, then Subscription info. On the Summary tab find the API key and copy it. The same key covers a Trends API subscription.
Back in woble, paste the key into the Semrush API key field and press Connect. woble runs a test call and stores the key encrypted.
The card says Connected and the agent panel lists tools such as domain_overview and keyword_research.

Type "@ruby connect Semrush" in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation. Only workspace owners and admins can paste the key.

If it does not connect

Authentication error on the test call. The key was copied with a space or regenerated in Semrush. Copy it again, press Remove in Marketplace, Connected, and add it again.
Errors about limits or units. You ran out of API units, or the report needs an API you do not have (Trends API for traffic). Check Subscription info.
Anything else: press Test connection under Marketplace, Connected; Remove and re-add fixes most problems.

Disconnect

Open Marketplace, Connected, find Semrush and press Remove. The stored key is deleted and agents lose the Semrush tools immediately. If the key may have leaked, regenerate it in Semrush too.
