Connect Hugging Face

Once Hugging Face is connected, an agent can search the Hub for models by task and modality (say "speech recognition" or "text-to-image"), find datasets and papers, read a model card before recommending anything, and quote the licence so you know whether a model is cleared for commercial use. Spaces that expose MCP tools can be added too, and agents can call them.

Before you start

• A Hugging Face account. A free account is enough.
• Optional: visit huggingface.co/settings/mcp first to choose which tool sets the server offers (search, documentation, Spaces). Whatever you enable there is what agents get.
• You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.

Connect it

1. Open Marketplace, choose the Integrations tab, find Hugging Face and press Connect.
2. Press Continue with Hugging Face. A new tab opens at huggingface.co.
3. Sign in if you are not already. Hugging Face shows an authorization page for woble asking for your profile, access to the MCP server and read access to repositories.
4. Press Authorize.
5. The tab closes and the card says Connected. The agent panel lists the Hugging Face tools: Hub search and browsing, documentation search, and any Spaces you enabled in your MCP settings.

Type @ruby connect Hugging Face in any chat. The same connect card appears in the conversation. Only owners and admins can complete it.

Try it

• "@atlas find a small speech recognition model that runs on CPU and check its licence allows commercial use."
• "@atlas what datasets exist for Slovak sentiment classification, and how big are they?"

If it does not connect

• Signed in to the wrong Hugging Face account: gated models and private repositories you expect are missing. Press Remove in Marketplace → Connected and connect again with the right account.
• A tool the agent mentions is missing: it is switched off in your Hugging Face MCP settings. Enable it at huggingface.co/settings/mcp, then press Test connection in Marketplace → Connected to refresh the tool list.
• Access revoked under Hugging Face → Settings → Connected applications: Test connection fails. Remove and reconnect.

Disconnect

Marketplace → Connected → Hugging Face → Remove. The stored tokens are deleted and agents lose the Hugging Face tools immediately. You can also revoke woble under your Hugging Face settings, Connected applications.
