Connect Asana
Agents search tasks and projects, see who owes what by when and create or update tasks; you connect by signing in to Asana.
Once Asana is connected, an agent can find a project, list tasks by assignee, due date or completion, tell you what is overdue and whose it is, and create or update tasks with a name, notes, assignee, due date and project.
Before you start
- An Asana account in the workspace or organization you want agents to work in. Agents act as you and see what you see.
- On Enterprise+ and legacy Enterprise, admins can block MCP apps under Admin console → Apps.
- The woble operator registers an Asana MCP app once in the Asana developer console. If Asana is missing from the Marketplace, that step is still pending.
- You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.
Connect it
- Open Marketplace, choose the Integrations tab, find Asana and press Connect.
- Press Continue with Asana. A new tab opens at app.asana.com.
- Sign in to Asana if you are not already. The connection covers every workspace and organization you belong to; agents ask which one to use.
- Review the permission screen, which says woble will access your tasks, projects and workspace data as you, and press Allow access.
- The tab closes, the card shows Connected and the agent panel lists the Asana tools.
Or ask an agent
Type @ruby connect Asana in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation. Only owners and admins can complete it.
Try it
- "@atlas what is overdue in the Website relaunch project, and who owns each task?"
- "@atlas create a task 'Send contract to Novak' in the Sales project, assign it to me, due next Tuesday."
If it does not connect
- Blocked by app management: sign-in ends with a request-access message instead of Allow. Ask your Asana admin to allow the app under Admin console → Apps, then reconnect.
- Wrong Asana account: projects you expect are missing. Press Remove in Marketplace → Connected, sign out of Asana in the browser and connect again with the right account.
- Access revoked (you or an admin removed woble under your profile → My settings → Apps): press Test connection in Marketplace → Connected; if it fails, Remove and reconnect.
Disconnect
Marketplace → Connected → Asana → Remove. Tokens are deleted and agents lose the Asana tools immediately. You can also deauthorize woble in Asana under My settings → Apps.
