Connect Gmail

Agents search your mail, read threads, draft replies and tidy labels; you connect by signing in with Google.

GmailSign inProductivity

Search threads, read messages, draft replies and manage labels.

Once Gmail is connected, an agent can search your inbox with Gmail's own query syntax, read whole threads, write a draft reply for you to check, and add or remove labels. Agents never send mail, they only leave drafts.

Before you start

  • A Google account.
  • You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.
  • The woble operator registers a Google app once (a Google Cloud project with the Gmail API and an OAuth client). If Gmail is missing from the Marketplace, that has not been done yet.

Connect it

  1. Open Marketplace, choose the Integrations tab, find Gmail and press Connect.
  2. Press Continue with Google. A new tab opens at accounts.google.com.
  3. Choose the account. If you are signed in to several, pick carefully: this is the mailbox agents will read.
  4. Google shows "woble wants access to your Google Account" and lists the permissions: read your email, manage drafts, manage labels, modify email. Tick every box and press Continue. An unticked box means some tools fail later.
  5. On a new deployment you may first see "Google hasn't verified this app". Press Advanced, then Go to woble (unsafe). If the project is still in testing mode, only people the operator listed as test users get past this screen.
  6. The tab closes, the card says Connected and the agent panel lists the Gmail tools.

Or ask an agent

Type @ruby connect Gmail in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation. Only owners and admins can complete it.

Try it

  • "@atlas find unread mail from the last week about the Berlin invoice and summarise it."
  • "@atlas draft a reply to the latest thread from Dana saying we ship on Friday."

If it does not connect

  • Wrong account: press Remove in Marketplace → Connected and connect again, picking the right account on the chooser screen.
  • Permission left unticked: agents can read but not draft, or the other way round. Remove and reconnect, ticking every box.
  • "Access blocked" or "has not completed the Google verification process": the operator's project is in testing mode and you are not a test user. Ask the operator to add you or publish the app.
  • Anything else: press Test connection in Marketplace → Connected; if it fails, Remove and reconnect.

Disconnect

Marketplace → Connected → Gmail → Remove. Tokens are deleted and agents lose the Gmail tools immediately. You can also revoke access under myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps.
