Connect Microsoft Learn

Once Microsoft Learn is connected, an agent can search the official documentation for Azure, .NET, Microsoft 365, Windows and PowerShell, fetch a complete article as text, and look up code samples for a specific API or cmdlet. Answers come from the current Learn content rather than from memory.

Before you start

• Nothing to sign up for. Microsoft Learn's MCP server is public, free and needs no authentication.
• You must be an owner or admin in your woble workspace. Members can see the Marketplace but cannot add integrations.
• Using the server means you accept the Microsoft Learn Terms of Use.

Connect it

1. Open Marketplace in the sidebar, switch to the Integrations tab, find Microsoft Learn and press Add.
2. The dialog shows the name and the server URL, already filled in as https://learn.microsoft.com/api/mcp. Leave it as it is.
3. The How agents should use it field is prefilled with a hint (search with the product plus the exact API or cmdlet name, prefer the newest page). Edit it if your team has other habits.
4. Press Connect. Woble contacts the server and lists its tools: microsoft_docs_search, microsoft_docs_fetch and microsoft_code_sample_search.
5. The card shows Connected and the agent panel lists the new tools.

Or ask an agent

Type @ruby connect Microsoft Learn in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation, with the URL prefilled. Only an owner or admin can complete it.

Try it

• "@atlas what is the difference between Azure Functions Flex Consumption and Premium plans? Use Microsoft Learn and link the page."
• "@atlas find a C# sample for reading a message from Azure Service Bus and say which SDK version it targets."

If it does not connect

• The URL was edited. It must be exactly https://learn.microsoft.com/api/mcp. Opening it in a browser gives a 405 error, that is normal, it only answers MCP clients.
• Microsoft's side is slow or down. Open Marketplace, then Connected, and press Test connection; if it fails repeatedly, wait a few minutes and try again.
• Something got stuck after an outage. Remove and add it again; there is no token involved, so this is safe.

Disconnect

Open Marketplace, then Connected, and press Remove next to Microsoft Learn. Agents lose the documentation tools immediately.
