Connect Exa
Agents run neural web search and fetch pages through Exa; connect by signing in to your Exa account so usage counts against your team's plan.
Once Exa is connected, an agent can search the web with a query written in plain language, filter results by domain or date, and read the full content of a page it found or one you pasted.
Before you start
- An Exa account. New accounts get free credits; after that usage is charged to the team you sign in with, so pick the right one if you belong to several.
- You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace to save the connection.
Connect it
- Open Marketplace from the sidebar, switch to the Integrations tab, find Exa and press Connect.
- Press Continue with Exa. A new tab opens at Exa's sign-in page. Sign in with the account you use for the Exa dashboard.
- Exa asks you to allow woble to use its tools on your behalf (the only permission requested is tool access). Approve.
- The tab closes on its own. Nothing to copy.
- The card shows Connected and the agent panel lists web_search_exa and web_fetch_exa.
Or ask an agent
Type @ruby connect Exa in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation; only owners and admins can complete it.
Try it
- "@atlas find 5 recent articles on EU battery passport rules from the last 6 months and link each one"
- "@atlas read https://example.com/blog/post and give me the three main claims with quotes"
Agents ask for 5 to 10 results, use domain and date filters, link every source and flag old pages.
If it does not connect
- You signed in with a personal Exa account rather than the team account. Remove and sign in again.
- Your Exa team is out of credits. Searches fail with a quota error until you top up in the Exa dashboard.
- The sign-in tab was closed before approving, or the popup was blocked. Press Connect again and let the tab finish.
Press Test connection in Marketplace, Connected tab, to see the exact error. Remove followed by a fresh sign-in fixes most token problems.
Disconnect
Marketplace, Connected, Remove next to Exa. The tokens are deleted and agents lose the tools immediately. You can also revoke woble's access from your Exa dashboard.
