Connect Dropbox

Agents browse, search, read, write and share files in your Dropbox; you sign in to Dropbox and allow access.

Browse, search, read, write and share files.

Once Dropbox is connected, an agent can search and browse your folders, read the text of documents and PDFs, create or move files, and create a shared link when you ask for one.

Before you start

  • A Dropbox account, personal or team. Agents see what your account sees.
  • The woble operator must have registered a Dropbox app once. If Connect says the integration is not configured, ask the operator.
  • On a Dropbox team, the team admin may control which third-party apps members can connect. If Dropbox blocks the app, ask your team admin to allow it.
  • You must be an owner or admin of the woble workspace.

Connect it

  1. Open Marketplace in the sidebar, switch to the Integrations tab, find Dropbox and press Connect.
  2. Press Continue with Dropbox. A new tab opens at dropbox.com. Sign in if asked; if you have a personal and a work account linked, Dropbox asks which one to use.
  3. Dropbox shows the app name and the access it wants, files and folders in your Dropbox plus your account info. Press Allow.
  4. The tab closes. The card shows Connected and the agent panel lists the Dropbox tools.

Or ask an agent

Type @ruby connect Dropbox in any chat. The same card appears in the conversation; only an owner or admin can complete it.

Try it

  • "@atlas find the onboarding checklist PDF in Dropbox and summarise the first page"
  • "@atlas create a shared link for /Clients/Acme/proposal-v3.pdf"

If it does not connect

  • You chose the wrong account on the Dropbox chooser. Press Remove in Marketplace, then Connected, and reconnect, picking the right one.
  • Dropbox says the app is not allowed for your team. Your team admin needs to permit it under the team's app settings.
  • Tools fail after working before. You may have unlinked the app under Dropbox Settings, Connected apps. Press Test connection; Remove and reconnect fixes most token problems.

Disconnect

Marketplace, Connected, press Remove next to Dropbox. Tokens are deleted and agents lose the tools immediately.
